Notes from the 2007 Miami Valley HomeWorld show. The show this year was a great success with us getting to meet and talk with a lot of interesting and nice people. Our pictures of custom bookshelves and our display showing formed tin tiles set in a two part epoxy both got a lot of comments. You can see a small picture of the booth before the show started above. Next year I think we will need more space. We also gave away a 16 bottle wine cooler which was a big hit. Thanks to all the people who stopped by the booth. If you filled out a contact card and haven't been called yet please be patient, we are calling everyone, or you can just call or email us if you want to talk sooner. Thanks again for making the show a big sucess for us this year!

Do you have dirty, worn carpet on your stairs? Carpeting stairs is a fairly common method for builders to cut costs in original construction, but cleaning the carpet on stairs is difficult and the carpet wears faster because stairs tend to be high traffic areas. Rather than replace that worn carpet with more carpet, try switching the surface to beautiful hardwood. If you have hardwood floors in your house the stairs can be covered in matching hardwood. Even if you don't have hardwood floors in your house the stairs can be covered in hardwood that will turn them into a magnificent centerpiece for your home rather than a dirty, worn, eyesore. See below for pictures of a staircase where we replaced old warn carpet with solid oak treads. This was a curved stair case with custom designed, oddly shaped landings. Some of the landings had no square corners and depths up to 30 inches. We built custom oak treads, stained to match the hardwood flooring, installed them to turn this staircase into a certerpiece of the home's entrance. Before: After: These beautiful stairs now invite you down them rathern than being just another path into the house.
